HellouOne account settings, explained

What each HellouOne account setting does: account name, site language and how it affects AI agent notes, automatic resolution after inactivity, email conversation continuity, the Account ID for the API, and what lives elsewhere.

Most of what you configure in HellouOne lives in focused pages: inboxes, agents, teams, AI agents, automations. A few settings apply to the whole account at once, and they are easy to overlook because you set them on day one and rarely come back. They still shape what your team sees every day, from the language of the dashboard to whether old conversations close themselves. Here is what each one does.

The page is Settings, Account Settings, and only administrators can change it. This guide follows the help center article Configuración de la cuenta.

Account name

The account name is how the account appears in the dashboard and in the emails HellouOne sends to your team. If someone belongs to several accounts, for example an agency that manages HellouOne for more than one client, this is the name they see in the account selector. Use the name your team will recognise at a glance, usually the brand or the client's name.

Site language

Site language sets the dashboard language for every member of the account. It also decides the language of the automatic notices HellouOne writes inside conversations and of the emails sent to administrators.

It matters for AI agents too, with a useful split. Notes and messages that AI agents write for your team follow the site language, so a Spanish-speaking team reads internal AI notes in Spanish. Messages to customers follow the customer's language, so a customer who writes in English gets English replies even when the account runs in Spanish. You do not have to choose between your team's language and your customers'.

Automatic resolution after inactivity

This setting is the number of days after which a conversation with no activity is resolved automatically. If a conversation has gone that many days without messages, HellouOne marks it as resolved. Leave it empty and nothing is resolved automatically.

A value here keeps the open list honest. Without it, chats where the customer simply stopped replying pile up and hide the conversations that really need attention. Pick a number that matches how long your customers usually take to come back; for many teams a few days is enough. If the customer writes again later, the conversation history is still there.

Email conversation continuity

When this is enabled, a customer can continue a conversation by replying to the email they received, and their reply appears in the same conversation. It keeps the thread in one place when a customer moves from chat to email, instead of opening a new, disconnected conversation.

Account ID

The number shown as the Account ID identifies your account in the HellouOne API. You need it when you connect your own integration, and our support team may ask for it. A copy button puts it on your clipboard. The API reference is in the HellouOne developer docs.

Remember to save: changes on this page take effect when you click the update button at the bottom.

What is not on this page

  • Agents, teams and assignment rules have their own pages in Settings.

  • Your plan, payment method and invoices are in Billing.

  • Your own name, password and personal sounds are in your profile, not in the account.

How this works with HellouOne

These settings frame everything else in the HellouOne shared inbox. The site language decides how the dashboard and internal AI agent notes read for your team, while AI agents keep answering each WhatsApp customer in their own language. Automatic resolution keeps the queue focused on live conversations, which makes assignment and reports more accurate. Email continuity keeps a customer's thread whole across channels, and the Account ID is the first thing a developer needs to connect HellouOne to the rest of your systems.

A quick checklist for new accounts: set a recognisable account name, choose the language your team works in, decide how many idle days should close a conversation, turn on email continuity if you use email, and note the Account ID for later. If you are just getting started, our guide to setting up your account and inviting your team covers the step before this one. Learn more in the help center: Configuración de la cuenta.
