If HellouOne works for your business, you probably know another business it would work for. The referrals program in HellouOne turns that recommendation into credit on your own balance. Every account has a referral link, and when an account that arrived through your link takes a paid plan, you earn credit each month while it keeps paying, for twelve months. This post explains how the link works, how the credit is earned, what your numbers mean, and the good practices the program asks for. It is based on our help guide: Referrals, earn credit for every account you bring (https://help.hellou.ai/hc/hellou/articles/1791216504-referidos-gana-credito-por-cada-cuenta-que-traigas).
Your link, and the code behind it
Your referral link and code are in Settings, Referrals. You can share the link, or share just the code for the new account to enter when it signs up. That second option matters in the real world. Many recommendations happen in a call or a message, not through a perfect tracked link. A short code your contact can type at sign up keeps the referral attached to you even when the link gets lost along the way.
The invited account registers with your link or code, and from that moment it is counted as yours in the program. Nothing else is needed from you. You do not have to attend the sale, configure their account, or follow up with paperwork. The system tracks the relationship from the registration onward.
How the credit is earned
The credit starts when the referred account contracts a paid plan. From then on, you receive a percentage of its plan price as credit, each month while it keeps paying, for twelve months. It is a recurring reward, not a one time bonus, because it follows the real value of the recommendation: a customer that stays and pays.
The guide also covers the honest edge case. If the referred account stops paying and later returns, it resumes where it left off, and the unpaid months are not recovered. So the twelve months are twelve paid months, counted across the life of that account, not a calendar window that quietly expires while nobody was paying.
Percentages have one more nuance. Partners have their own percentages, and if you are a partner, yours are the ones reflected in your Referrals page. What you see there is what applies to you.
Your numbers, explained
Settings, Referrals shows your program at a glance, and each number answers a different question. Registrations counts the accounts that arrived through your link. Paying tells you how many of them now have a paid plan, which is the moment credit starts. Applied credit is the credit already in your balance. Pending credit is credit you have earned but that is not applied yet.
That pending state has a clear condition. Pending credit is applied when your own account has an active billing client, that is, when you have also contracted a plan. The logic is simple: referral credit is balance for a paying account, so it lands when your account is set up to use balance.
Below the totals, the list of accounts you referred shows each referred account with its status. If you recommended HellouOne to three businesses last month, you can see which ones registered, which ones are paying, and which ones have not moved yet, without asking anyone on the Hellou team to check for you.
Good practices, and the rules that keep it fair
The guide closes with practices that keep the program healthy for everyone. The credit applies to your HellouOne balance, not to cash, so think of it as your own subscription paying for part of itself when your recommendations succeed. Referring yourself, or creating accounts just to earn credit, voids the program for that account. The rule is strict because the program rewards real recommendations between real businesses.
The best referrals are also the simplest ones. Recommend HellouOne to a business with the problem it actually solves: customer conversations scattered across WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, calls and web chat, with a team that needs one shared inbox and AI help. Tell them what changed for you, give them your link or code, and let the product do the rest. If they stay for a year, your balance hears about it every month.
For a customer who already pays happily, referrals are the rare program that needs no extra budget, no campaign, and no new tool. The link is already in your settings. The only work is remembering, the next time a peer describes drowning in customer messages, that the recommendation in your pocket also pays you back.
