Truthful voice campaign metrics in HellouOne: no conversation calls and hang up reasons

HellouOne now counts connected calls that never became a conversation as no conversation, scores campaign goals only on real conversations, records AI-answered inbound calls as answered, and stores the network status and hang up reason of outbound AI calls.

Campaign numbers drive decisions. If a voice campaign says it reached 70 percent of a list, a manager may stop calling, move budget or report success to a client. That only works if the numbers describe what really happened on the phone.

This release makes HellouOne voice campaign metrics more truthful. Calls that connect but never turn into a conversation get their own result, success goals are scored only where a conversation took place, inbound calls answered by the AI agent are recorded correctly, and failed outbound calls now say why they failed.

No conversation is now its own result

Some calls connect but never become a conversation. The line opens, nobody really engages, and the call ends. Before, those calls could look like reached contacts. Now they are counted as no conversation, so your reach numbers separate real conversations from calls that only connected.

These calls are also not redialled after a sweep. Once a campaign has finished its pass through the list, a no conversation call does not send the contact back into the queue for another round. That keeps the campaign from calling the same people again and again without a reason.

Success goals count real conversations only

Campaigns can have success goals, such as confirming an appointment or getting a commitment to pay. Those goals are now scored only on real conversations. A call that never became a conversation cannot pass or fail a goal, so it no longer drags your success rate down or inflates it. The score tells you how the AI agent did when it actually talked to someone.

Inbound calls the AI answered count as answered

On the inbound side, a call the AI agent answered is now recorded as answered, even if the caller never spoke. Before, a silent caller could make it look as though nobody picked up. Now your inbound numbers show that the line was answered, which is what your customers experienced.

Why a call failed: network status and hang up reason

Outbound AI calls now store the phone network status and the hang up reason. When a call fails, clients and support can see why: whether the network rejected it, the number was busy, or one side hung up. Instead of guessing, a supervisor can tell a bad list apart from a carrier problem, and support can answer a client's question with facts.

What this means for your reports

  • Cleaner reach: conversations, no conversation calls, voicemail and no answer are separate results.

  • Fairer scores: success goals reflect only calls where a conversation happened.

  • Fewer wasted calls: no conversation calls are not redialled after a sweep.

  • Clear failures: every failed outbound AI call carries its network status and hang up reason.

Your numbers may look different after this release. A reach rate that drops a little because no conversation calls are now separated is not a worse campaign; it is a more accurate one. Compare new campaigns with new campaigns, and read success scores as the share of real conversations that met the goal.

These changes build on last week's work on voicemail handling and AI campaign calls in the call log, which already separated voicemail and no answer more reliably.

How this works with HellouOne

These metrics come from the campaigns your HellouOne AI agent runs, and they flow into the places your team already looks. Campaign results and success scores show up in HellouOne Reports, and each call, with its result and hang up reason, can be found in the call history next to the rest of your calls. When a conversation needs a person, the AI agent follows your handover rules.

Nothing needs to be configured. The next time you open a campaign report, you will see what really happened on each call, and why the ones that failed did not go through.
